Fund for the Promotion of Joint International Research (Fostering Joint International Research (B)) “University Education and International Collaboration in the Era of the “New Normal”:Redefining Inter-institutional Student Mobility across Borders.”
You are invited to participate in our research study. This research involves multiple higher education institutions and international education organizations in Australia, Germany, Japan, Korea, Italy, and the United States. It is important for you to understand the reasons for carrying out this research, and what exactly it will involve, in order to decide whether or not to participate, so please read the following brief research description for more information about the aims of the survey.

[Research Description]
International student mobility is a significant component of a globalized university education. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, educational models that have become dependent on international student mobility are faced with this paradox. How, then, can higher education institutions around the world establish cooperative relationships in order to accelerate the internationalization of university education once this pandemic ends? In order to revive international student mobility in the post-COVID-19 period, higher education institutions around the world need to build a shared vision for inter-university student mobility based on the educational assets, networks, and protocols that have been established among institutions so far.
This survey aims to explore and propose principles and frameworks which will become the “new normal” condition for inter-institutional global student mobility.

[Aims of this Survey]
This survey aims to explore how higher education institutions make decisions which seek to stimulate inter-institutional student mobility across borders, what these decisions are, and how institutions envision the new normal for student mobility. It targets university faculty and staff members who are responsible for facilitating inter-institutional student mobility. If you decide to participate in this research, you will spend approximately 15 minutes answering this questionnaire. Your participation is voluntary and you are free to withdraw at any time without giving a reason. A report on the survey results will be shared with those who participate
in this research. Respondents will be anonymous and confidentiality is guaranteed in any research articles and conference presentations.
